The Product Manager Diagnostic

Know where you
are as a PM —
without a single number.

A short situational diagnostic across the four things great product managers are made of: Judgment, Trust, Markets, and Build. No grade, no leaderboard — a clear picture of where you are, to guide where you grow next.

4 scenarios · ~5 minutes 4 buckets · 5 maturity levels Private · nothing stored
What you get back

A profile across all four buckets plus your maturity quadrant — a mirror, never a verdict.

Know how AI-ready every founder in your batch is — before you wire.

A short diagnostic reads each founder's AI fluency and returns one comparable signal — Strong, Watchlist, or Emerging — so diligence is sharper and your reasoning holds up. It informs invest/pass; it is never a fundability score.

1Each founder, plus a reference, takes a short scenario diagnostic.
2You get one dashboard, your whole batch scored by AI readiness.
3You walk into diligence knowing exactly where to probe.

AI Integration & Autonomy

A second, independent axis: not how skilled someone is, but how they orchestrate AI in their actual workflow — from occasional assistant to delegated agents. Read alongside the competency profile, never instead of it.

LEVEL 1
Assistant
AI helps with discrete tasks, on request.
LEVEL 2
Copilot
AI works alongside you, in the flow.
LEVEL 3
Supervised autopilot
AI runs the workflow; you review and steer.
LEVEL 4
Delegated
AI runs end-to-end; you set the guardrails.

More autonomy is not "more mature." What we'd read is whether the level of delegation fits the stakes — appropriate autonomy, not maximum autonomy.

Jaclyn Karnowski

People as the investment. AI as the multiplier.

I run product and AI enablement — I help leaders, and the people who back them, see capability clearly and put it to work. My belief is simple: people want to do their best work, and the best ROI always starts with people. Relationships first, technology second.

For 8+ years I've enabled technical leadership and individual contributors at Uber, Airbnb, and Faire, collaborating on talent accelerators built on objective, crisp competency frameworks. At LATAM Airlines I designed an AI-native skills framework and diagnostic adopted across product roles. I immerse in an organization, learn its culture, find the systemic gaps, and build the frameworks that let teams scale past being held together by human glue — using storytelling and facilitation to bridge the technical and the non-technical.

Why I built Heyken

Heyken started with a friend trying to get honest about their own AI fluency — where they were strong, where they were bluffing — with nowhere good to look. Then a small-business owner asked me the same question about their sales team. Same question, different scale. I got curious, saw the pattern, and built the thing I wished both of them had: a clear, judgment-free read on where you are with AI, so you know where to grow next. I built it for my neighbor, my friends, and my former colleagues — all of us figuring out this new era together.

Track record
AI-native skills framework at LATAM Airlines

Designed an AI-native skills framework and diagnostic adopted across product roles — the closest precursor to Heyken.

8+ years at Uber, Airbnb & Faire

Enabling technical leadership and individual contributors inside some of the most demanding product organizations in tech.

Talent accelerators, built on objective frameworks

Collaborated on talent accelerators grounded in objective, crisp competency frameworks — the foundation Heyken is built on.

Built on data and experimentation

The Heyken methodology: objective competencies, a 1–5 scale, multi-source scoring, and a visual-first read — never one anxious number.

How I work
Relationships first, technology second Grounded in data and experimentation Where you are now → where to grow next A rich profile, never one number Informs decisions; never replaces judgment
